Mightier than I are the trees
Mightier than I and my kin
They stand taller; their boughs
More supple while yet thin
Yet I am the lord of them all
Faster than I are the beasts
Faster than I and my race
They leap farther; their legs
Carry them swifter and with grace
Yet I am the master of them all
Wiser than I are the mountains
Oceans run deeper than my thoughts can go
The skies reach higher than my ambitions
And seasons are more faithful than I will ever grow
Why then am I called to be the king?
Perhaps because now I understand everything
