Sleep tight

At the end of the day, there’s nothing like putting the kids to bed. Not because, well, you’re done for the day, but because you can tell from the expressions on their faces that you’re doing something right.

Though day was long and dark’s the night
Their mouths curl up, their eyes alight
A sudden spark springs to ignite
A flame that burns so wild and bright
And all that’s left is pure delight
That enters through this simple rite
The day was long; my loves, sleep tight.
